I was going to publish the next chapter in Blues, Preludes, & Feuds this week, but then three things happened:
My computer crashed, and I had to reinstall everything…
My computer crashed, and I had to reinstall everything!
I got hired out of the blue at the last minute to perform at this thing:
Two Friday Evenings in a row
Tonight, Friday, August 5, 6-9 pm at Nori Sushi, 1235 W Devon, Chicago, (outside on the patio)
Next Friday, August 12, 6-9 pm at Pearls Southern Comfort/Pizzeria Aroma 5352 N Broadway, Chicago
I’ll perform all sorts of (non)standards from several eras, epochs, and eons. Maybe some of my songs as well.
If you are in the neighborhood or are craving sushi or both, I’d love to see you there.
Back to the story next week, and it’s a funny one about my cousins. Stay tuned for that.
About the Events
The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the return of this exciting summer musical event. On the first three Friday nights in August, restaurants on and off Broadway will fill their patios with music from 6-9pm. It’s an opportunity to support local businesses and performers while people enjoy everything that makes Edgewater great! In addition to the performances on the restaurant patios, there will also be one large concert in the St. Ita’s parking lot on August 26. There are 13 restaurants and 21 bands participating.
